On Tuesday I will try to engage you in a question/topic/idea. You are welcome to write in with a suggestion you want to share or maybe talk about next Tuesday. My response is not right for everyone but I am hoping together we can generate some great conversation. And as always, I would love to hear from you on this topic or any topic out there! Β
If we were having coffee…
If we were having coffee, I would say how disappointed I am that I couldn’t run my first marathon. But that disappointment is also what is failing my drive to be better, to get my body in right shape it needs to be. I would tell you how running has transformed my life and how I look at myself.
If we were having coffee I would confess how I am not sure how to juggle my life anymore. Going back to work has been the perfect move for me, but it has cost me time with my children, time away from what I love, and just time in general. I would tell you about how much I miss my kids but how I love helping other families and kids with special needs.
If we were having coffee I wonder what we would talk about…
Would our conversation be light, talking about the weather or upcoming events? Would we talk books, life, or something more?
If we were having coffee, what would you say?
I’d say it’s been a difficult week… But friends and family have got me through.

If we were having coffee, I’d talk about how much I love writing. I’d talk about how fun writing is, how thought provoking it can be, and about how I’ll try to write more in the days to come.
If we were having coffee, I’d talk about how stressful life is. Academics is fun sometimes but it eats into my hobbies. When I try sustain those hobbies, I end up sleeping lesser and lesser. Sometimes it feels like it is all worth it, but sometimes it doesn’t.
If we were having coffee, I’d talk about anything. More importantly, I’d listen to what you had to say.
Once we’ve finished that coffee, I’d ask you when we could have coffee again, because a conversation like that is the best thing ever, and I’d love to have more of such conversations.
Thanks for the beautiful question, it compelled me to write. Been a while since that happened.

I’m so sorry about the difficult week. I have been joking that the moon is making kids/people act outside their norm. You are lucky to have such close friends and family who can help. Hopefully this difficult time will pass quickly and you will be able to breath easier π

Your talk about writing would get me thinking about the book I was trying to write. Our conversation would probably spark that fire again and maybe I would write again. I love what you wrote and I am glad you are writing π

We might be living in different countries and it’s not possible for us to have a coffee together, but if there’s even a small chance that talk about writing will get you to resume writing the book, then I would absolutely love to make long conversations because I know I’d definitely read your book as soon as I can. π

π Wow, thank you!! I feel like I have done nothing but think about my book. Even though I am really busy with work and life, I might pick up my book today and read it.. I keep rethinking this one plot idea and I’m not sure if I want to change it or keep it as it is. It’s kind of exciting thinking about this again. I would love to continue to chat with you about writing π

Take it at your own pace, write as much as you can make time out for. I guess that would help you out, you’d be inching closer to finishing the book that way. I’ll be looking forward to more Tuesday Talks and your book too!
