Every Tuesday I will try to engage you in a question/topic/idea. You are welcome to write in with a suggestion you want to share or maybe talk about next Tuesday. My response is not right for everyone but I am hoping together we can generate some great conversation. And as always, I would love to hear from you on this topic or any topic out there!
It’s been a while since I have done Tuesday Talk. I wasn’t sure this was something anyone would miss, but the emails asking for it back say otherwise.
This time around, I want to do things differently. One reader said they have wanted to participate in Tuesday Talk but never felt knowledgable enough to do so. Honestly, you don’t have to be an expert to have an opinion. If you want to participate, please do so. If you want to participate anonymously, email me (boundtobeme3@gmail.com) your response and I will add it myself via an ‘anonymous friend’.
In a couple days I will post part two to Tuesday Talk- Powerful Books Part One. It has been a month since I asked the initial question.
But before I do this, I want to know-
What topics are you interested in or what would you like to see for a Tuesday Talk discussion topic? This can be running related, characteristics of books/writing, things that irritate you, we can even focus on a specific book or author, creative blocks, reading slumps… Honestly, it can be anything you want!! Just tell me so I know which way to take this.
The purpose of Tuesday Talk is to connect with YOU. Help me do that!
How about ‘YA books that become famous because of a few popular bloggers/youtubers but the book in reality is not so good…’ ?
That could be a Fall Out Boy song.

How about the authenticity of book reviews? I reviewed a book that mainly had 4&5 star ratings and every review said how funny it was but I never laughed once! It’s like they all copied the previous reviewer, in fact two reviews were exactly the same! Not the first time I’ve seen it either!

Maybe once in a while, you could make Tuesday Talk about something more universal. From what I remember, it has been about books. You could select a topic that appeals to your readers on a personal level, maybe something that makes them think a little hard and deep about things. Somehow, it seems to me that that would maybe elicit a greater participation because you are asking the reader a question that asks the reader to ponder about their own life and experiences to give an answer.

This is an interesting idea. Can you give me an example so I know more of what you are looking for 🙂

Well, I’m not looking for anything in particular. Okay, let me put this from a bookworm’s view. There are some books, which when you read, makes you ponder a lot over things that you otherwise might not. That happened with me when I was reading a couple of Ayn Rand’s books. I guess what I’m trying to say is that the questions that are raised in your mind and make you think over things when you read a book may be worth sharing and discussing with people sometimes because you’ll find a diverse range of opinions and ideas from people. I believe that would be interesting.

Ok, that’s a good idea because that happens to me as well. This week has been a complete miss with blogging but hopefully next week I will have some luck 🙂
