Synopsis:

He is everything I crave, all I desperately want—and he is everything I can’t have.

Evan Black embodies my every fantasy. He is brilliant, fierce, and devastatingly handsome. But he is also headstrong, dangerous, and burdened with secrets.

My family warned me to stay away, that I could never handle Evan’s dark dealings or scarred past. Maybe I should have listened. Maybe I should have run. But our desire is undeniable, and some temptations you just can’t fight.

And from the moment we touch—the passion between us consuming us both—I know that I will never be the same.

Review:

Angie is a very complex character. It is almost like she has a split personality. Who she lets people see on the outside is not who she truly is. Raised with wealth, unattainably high expectations, and family involved in politics, Angie has had to play the perfect daughter. Although she is anything but perfect, she has built walls in place to contain Lina- the rebellious, free spirited, adventure seeking woman she has always been. And this free spirited woman has her eyes set on dark, dangerous, and sexy Evan. But the woman she allows others to see is dating the father approved FBI agent Kevin.

This story is complicated and captivating. I really enjoyed the thrill of this book. There were some steamy scenes that I loved! This story is about revenge, love, illegal activity, compromise, and secrets. For the most part I enjoyed the story. The last couple chapters for some reason made the story somewhat ridiculous. But overall, this was a fun and exciting read!
