Release Me (Stark Trilogy #1)

Release Me

Author: J. Kenner
Published: January 1, 2013
Pages: 352

Stars: 2.5-3 out of 5

Synopsis:

He was the one man I couldn’t avoid. And the one man I couldn’t resist. Damien Stark could have his way with any woman. He was sexy, confident, and commanding: Anything he wanted, he got. And what he wanted was me.

Our attraction was unmistakable, almost beyond control, but as much as I ached to be his, I feared the pressures of his demands. Submitting to Damien meant I had to bare the darkest truth about my past—and risk breaking us apart.

But Damien was haunted, too. And as our passion came to obsess us both, his secrets threatened to destroy him—and us—forever.

Review:

The story plot was ok and entertaining enough to finish the book but it was lacking a stability in the characters. Compared to other similar books, the author wasn’t very descriptive when it came to the bedroom scenes. Throughout the book, I kept thinking how rediculus this book was. I could see what the author was trying to capture with this book but unfortunately the author missed the mark.

Damion is a little scary when it comes to his stackerish habits and actions he takes with Nikki. Nikki needs some serious therapy! I didn’t really care for her character. There wasn’t much of a challenge/chase when it came to the development of Her relationship with Damion. She was submissive in both the bedroom and her regular lifestyle.
