Sometimes playing cat and mouse is no game…Play? “Right.” My Pride is under fire from all sides, my father’s authority is in question and my lover is in exile. Which means I haven’t laid eyes on Marc’s gorgeous face in months. And with a new mother “and” an I-know-everything teenager under my protection, I don’t exactly have time to fantasize about ever seeing him again.

Then our long-awaited reunion is ruined by a vicious ambush by strays. Now our group is under attack, Marc is missing and I will need every bit of skill and smarts to keep my family from being torn apart. Forever.

This book is my least favorite! At first I thought the book was awesome but then I just couldn’t sympathize and accept Faythe’s actions. Poor Marc!!

Marc goes missing and could be horribly hurt or worse dead. Faythe can think of nothing but getting to Marc in time. She loves him and he is her world. But she is called back home and during an attac, her brother is killed. So what does she do? She cheats on Marc and sleeps with Jace. Oh yes, she must really love Marc more than anything if she can so easily sleep with someone else. And the worst part is she blames is on her pain and tequila. I’m sorry but that’s no excuse. If she really felt what she claimed to feel for Marc, she would never have kissed, let alone slept with someone else. This really put a damper on the book and it just shows again how selfish Faythe is. I feel like she is just stringing him along and at the end of the book she feels trapped between Jace and Marc…. Seriously!! How?? How can she feel this way?

I’m not sure I will read the next book in the series. This book really left a bad taste in my mouth.
